IN December, British number one Johanna Konta announced that Michael Joyce would be joining her as her new coach.
The former tennis player is determined that Konta can win her first grand slam whilst working alongside him.
Who is Michael Joyce?
JOYCE became a professional tennis player in 1991 and reached a career high of world number 64 in 1996.
After turning his attentions to coaching, he joined Maria Sharapova’s team in 2004, working alongside her father Yuri Sharapov.
The 46-year-old has also coached Jessica Pegula and Victoria Azarenka.

Where is Johanna Konta ranked in the world and what is her best achievement?
KONTA is currently ranked at world number 19 but has been as high as fourth in the list.
She has won three singles titles on the WTA tour as well as 11 singles and four double titles on the ITF circuit.
In 2016 she reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open where she was defeated by Angelique Kerber.
She reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon last summer shortly after winning the Miami Open.
Konta is currently British number one.
What success did he have with Maria Sharapova?
JOYCE was the coach of Sharapova, alongside her father Yuri Sharapova, between 2004 and 2011.
During her time with the American coach, Sharapova won two Grand Slam titles – US Open and Australian Open.
She also reached the world number 1 ranking.
