TWO women have been left seriously injured after they were mauled by a bullmastiff.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene in Bulkington, Warwickshire, today at around 11am.
One woman has been left with “life changing injuries”, it has been reported.
She suffered injuries to her arms and legs and is now being treated in hospital.
The other woman was taken to hospital with “less serious” injuries, also to her arms and legs.
They were rushed to University Hospital in Coventry where they remain.
Warwickshire Police said a police dog unit was deployed, and the dog has now been seized.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called to reports of two patients who had been injured following as a result of a dog attack on Neale Close in Bulkington.
“The 999 call was made at 11.06am and West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the scene.
“On arrival, crews discovered two patients who had both suffered serious injuries.
“Following treatment at the scene, they were both transported to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire on blue lights and sirens.”
