R Kelly ‘arrested on sex trafficking charges by New York cops’ as he faces sex abuse charges

R KELLY was reportedly arrested last night on sex trafficking charges by New York cops – while still facing sexual abuse allegations in Chicago.

The fallen R&B star, 52, was cuffed by NYPD detectives and Homeland Security Investigators, law enforcement officials claimed.

He was arrested in Chicago and is expected to be brought to New York for questioning, NBC 4 New York reported.

Further details about his arrest and the case are expected to be announced on Friday.

Kelly has been dogged for decades by allegations that he violated underage girls and held some women as slaves.

In February the singer, real name Robert Sylvester Kelly, was charged in Chicago with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving four women.

Three of his alleged victims were underage minors aged 13 to 16 at the time of the crimes.

If convicted, Kelly could face up to 70 years in jail.

He has pleaded not guilty.

In 2008, Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges.
