CRYSTAL PALACE are willing to wait for Chelsea youngster Reece James — their first choice to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
James, 19, is back at Chelsea after a loan at Wigan and will not go out again until the Blues hear from Fifa about their transfer ban.
The right-back is expected to be fit by late August after picking up an ankle injury with England Under-20s.
Palace would take him on loan or full-time in one of the next two transfer windows.
James was carried off on a stretcher while playing for England Under-20s at the Toulon Tournament last month.
There were concerns the 19-year-old full-back had broken an ankle when he went down in the 37th minute against Chile.
He needed oxygen on the pitch but scans showed no break for the teenager.
